The Kumato tomato is a specialty variety of tomato that originated in Spain.  The Kumato tomato is green to reddish brown and is sweet due to a higher level of fructose content than a red tomato.  They have been grown in Ontario greenhouses since about 2009, are juicy, firm and have intense flavours which make them great for salads.
