Ontario Food Terminal Board

Canada's Largest Wholesale Fruit and Produce Terminal serving all Provinces and some of the Northern States.

    Our Farmers Market tenants total 450 and they provide local fruits, vegetables and floral products. Our 22 Warehouse tenants provide imported and local fruits and vegetables from all over the world.
    We have over 5,000 buyers registered to purchase at the terminal.  Deliveries to our tenants are accepted 24 hours per day every day of the year to ensure our buyers receive the freshest produce and horticultural products.
    The Terminal is open for buyers from 6:30 am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday all year round and the Farmers' Market is also open on Saturdays during the months of May through October.




Directions

This 40 acre Toronto site is located is located at 165 The Queensway between Park Lawn Road and Stephen Drive in South Etobicoke.  If you are driving from the East, take the South Kingsway exit from the Westbound Gardiner Expressway to the Westbound Queensway.  If you are driving from the West, take the Eastbound Q.E.W. to the Park Lawn Road Exit and proceed North To The Queensway.



Buying at the Food Terminal

Buying is on a wholesale basis only and as such, the general public is not allowed on the property to buy.  To Register as a Buyer, you are required to provide proof of business activity showing that your business is part of the food or horticultural industry.  There is a nominal fee for a two year period.

Cold Storage

The Cold Storage is a 80,000 sq. ft. cooler facility maintaining via computer controls the correct temperature and humidity for the storage of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Leasing Space

Any Ontario Grower is allowed to occupy space in the Farmers Market section of a daily basis by simply paying a daily Farmers Market Fee at the Main Security Gate.  Thereafter, you will be guided to a Farmers Market Stall that you occupy for the day.  The Board also provides semi-annual and annual leases for its Farmers Market Tenants.  At this time, all warehouse, office, and Farmers' Market spaces are leased.  However, the Board maintains a waiting list for such space.
